Steamed Veggie Fish with

Dried Lily Bulbs and Black Fungus
 

 

 I.     Recipe name: Steamed Veggie Fish with Lily Bulbs and Black Fungus

II.      Ingredients:

  1. 1 vegetarian fish**, thawed, sliced into thick pieces

  2. 30g dried lily bulb*, washed, soaked in hot water

  3. 15g dried black fungus*, soaked in hot water until soft

  4. 1 slice ginger, minced

  5. 1 red bell pepper, sliced

III.      Seasonings:

  1. 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil

  2. ½ teaspoon salt

  3. 1 teaspoon brown sugar

  4. 1 teaspoon sesame oil 

  5. 1 teaspoon vegetable seasoning*

  6. 3 Tablespoons water

IV.      Directions:

  1. Remove the top sections of dried lily bulbs and tie each into a knot.

  2. Remove the tough part of black fungus and tear the rest into tiny pieces.

  3. Arrange dried lily bulbs and black fungus on a platter, and place vegetarian fish on top. Garnish with sliced red pepper and minced ginger (optional).

  4. Sprinkle with seasonings and steam for 15 minutes. Season with additional sesame oil and soy sauce.
